Japanese Tea Ceremony Demos
The Japanese Tea Ceremony (known as Chanoyu or Chadō) involves the ceremonial preparation of matcha (powdered) green tea. Refined for over 600 years, this living tradition is based upon four principles: Harmony, Respect, Purity and Tranquility. In this experience, Stephanie will share an introduction and then demonstrate a tea ceremony. There will be time for questions and discussion. Stephanie has been studying the Japanese Tea Ceremony for 12 years at Issoan Tea.
